Hi everybody, Hope you're all enjoying an awesome weekend! It's been a tough week personally for me...yet through it all...such a great week in many ways, on so many levels when it comes to my music... One of the things I really dig about this business and the whole "online" experience...is being able to connect with so many wonderful "like-minded" people from around the world....I have been so lucky in this manner and feel blessed to have met so many of you whether it be online or in "real life".... There are so many dedicated, supportive and selfless people out there that put there time, effort and energy into the listening and promoting and sharing their thoughts about the wide array of independant, self produced, financed and promoted, "unsigned" music available... and...nothing helps us as an Indie artist more, besides buying our cds and merchandise...than the spreading the word about our music... Please check out this new profile page for “Joe Gande” on the awesome World United Music! A huge Thank You to Stewart Brennan for the support and for including me on his website!
World United Music promotes Independent and Unsigned artists on two websites dedicated to bringing back variety and quality music to the music fans.
The websites are filled with Indie Artist and Band profiles, their music, videos, a radio show, video play lists, and additional features that include the golden age of Rock 'n' Roll
Each month 12 new posts are added to a growing list of current and future stars that total 250 acts.
The goals of World United Music are very simple, we want to bring exposure to these artists so that they may pursue their craft while also offering music fans an alternative to the crappy commercial radio with an online website where they can find the best music of today and yesterday.
"Why am I doing this? I got tired of waiting for something to happen after hearing so many great tunes that were not on the radio airwaves. As a former DJ, I decided to do something about it."

I would like to introduce my next featured artist…Joe Gande from New York City. I am featuring the amazing guitar solo in Circa ’73, and the song Brighter Day that reminds us that no matter what goes on in our lives and around the world….it gives hope of brighter days ahead.
Joe officially released The Godsend Sessions on May 16, 2010. The CD was written, arranged & produced by Joe and the CD was mastered by the grammy award winning Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, NYC. Joe can do it all…he performed all the vocals, all background vocals, all harmonies, all guitars, piano, keys, and conga drum. The CD also features Neal A. Ostberg: Bass, Kevin Bregande: Drums, Craig Shrawder: Keys, and James B. Gately III: Hammond B3, Glockenspiel, and Bongos. Click image to purchase The Godsend Sessions
A few quotes from JoeGande.com paints the picture of who Joe is…..“Singing, writing, arranging, producing, playing guitar, bass and keys-all without ever taking a formal musical lesson in his life. A prolific songwriter and self-taught guitarist with an ear for melody since a young age, the music just comes into his head. From arranging horn charts, drum fills and grooves, scoring beautiful lush string sections and vocal harmonies, to bangin'out some funky piano…” ---author unknown
"...a sound that can only be described as "New York" ---Dave Jackson, The Musicians CybercoolerThere are many reviews on Joe and in all the reviews I read, the same words kept popping up….PASSION & New York! Joe’s style ranges from jazzy to bluesy to funky to psychedelic…but all the time rockin! Joe has played regularly in the NYC club scene throughout the years and although there are no shows scheduled right now, be sure to keep watching for shows to be added! Joe not only puts out a good vibe with his music but also from his selfless acts of helping others. Quote from Joe…”I love animals and always help out with all kinds of organizations for them” Joe helps raise money through sponsors on Socialvibe…”right now I’m involved with raising money for the NYC foodbank through a cool promo. People can now download my songs free at gimmesound.com and the proceeds from the website and sponsors go to a charity of your choice! Very cool concept…” The photos and quotes tell the story….of a self-taught musician who puts his heart and soul into his music. Drop by Joe Gande’s MySpace page and his website at Joe Gande.com for more music and information. Enjoy the video below as Joe walks the streets of NYC to the sounds of his beautiful song…Can’t See My Life. The video below gives you a peek of what you will experience in a live show. Joe is all New York but he is balanced with a softer side where he has another passion….cooking. Must be his Italian roots and his mama’s influence coming out when it comes to pasta! He is currently writing a cook book that will be available soon. In writing this feature I have gotten to know Joe a little better and I find him to be a beautiful, caring person on the inside and out. He is driven, down-to-earth, incredibly talented, and seems to be successful in everything he pursues. Joe is also working on a new project with a DVD in the works so keep watching for that!To sum it up…Joe has a fun-loving passion for life!

ArtSees Diner Welcomes Joe Gande!
Recently, I stumbled upon Joe Gande as many of us stumble upon each other...on FaceBook.
I reached out to Joe and offered the idea of him becoming one of our "Specials".
You see, I only invite those musicians that strike a "chord" with ME. I am very particular when it comes to my music. I have to have that certain flutter of the heart strings to come back to a musician over and over again. It all began when I was 10 years old and I received my first transistor radio for Christmas. It had, believe it or not an earphone! I would lay in my bed at night listening to WLS, and often would switch to WCFL, if LS, was losing me on some song that did not hit that "chord." I remember it all so well, the first time I heard "Hello It"s Me" Todd Rundgren. I was twitter-pated, long before Twittering was even a past time! I fell in love with the sound, the emotive reality that was music. (sorry I often digress!)
Joe strikes that "chord" with me. As I listen to his music, I am brought back to the early presentation of that perfect blend as found in Loggins and Messina's Motherlode, with the smooth as silk passion and energy of Foreigner, and the flexibility of Todd Rundgren. But, aside from comparison to some of the Greats, Joe Gande brings that sound into the modern age.
Dive into Joe's energy, and let him take you away "24 Hours" a day!
Then a bit later I saw this comment on my page there from back in September... and a status message...both written by Uk Poet/Lyricist/Writer Jaz Mckenzie...Thank you so much Jaz!:) "Was just listening to Joe Gande's music...mind blowing...I feel Kravttz has a lil competition coming" x "Hi Joe..I really appreciate your songs...they speak to me and I love it...You have something that stands out in your music. I am a huge Lenny Kravitz fan and you have a quality in your music that is similar to Lenny...the passion shines through and the lyrics are very real. I think you have the 'raw energy' quality and it transfers into your music... I don't need to see you perform to know that you captivate the audience. Actually the more you listen to the more mind blowing it gets. Plz link on myspace.com/jazmkz and I will put u in my top frenz." Queen Jaz x Visit her website...Its Braap http://itsbraap.blogspot.com/
You can't buy class you are born with it. Joe Gande has taken the 60's Joe Cocker(esque) style of vocal delivery, together with it's big orchestration, referenced it and made something new out of it.
If I was pretentious I would be tempted to say that there is something almost Post Modernist about his songs - but that would be silly.
Read the review below by Jacky, it makes more sense…
Joe Gande: un músico apasionado
Alguien me dijo: escucha a Joe Gande y dime qué opinas.
English Translation:
Someone told me: Listen to Joe Gande and tell me what you think. If I were asked my opinion in one word, I would say without a doubt, PASSION. This intense musician and composer from New York, gives new definition to the word passion in each of his songs.
The strong voice is striking in its intensity, it claws, plucking the notes of his vocal cords, but it is distressing beyond description, causing intense feelings inside, whatever you are doing, you enter into its world of sounds and harmonies.
Joe Gande melts in his songs the intense feeling of the blues with the passion of rock, creating a unique sound, electrifying, disturbingly alien and organic, fresh; challenging the way to make rock music, although it still has a light fragrance of old rock. Also showing sensitivity, expressed with apparent honesty, his love life; listen, immerse yourself in a mystical world of strength and passion, through which you can enjoy an endless flow of intense feelings percolating your senses.
